Molly and Justin’s wedding was the last wedding of the year we allowed ourselves to cover. We couldn’t of asked for a better couple to end the year with. Molly started her day getting ready with her bridesmaids and bridesdude (I don’t know if that is a word but it is now) at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. There, she got dolled up by Pretty On Premises. She also received plenty of love from her friends and family. I love the way they came together for her that day. As we were getting ready to leave the hotel we saw a prettyfull (as my 3yr old daughter would say) Chihuly chandelier and had to get a shot of the bride in her dress looking amazing.
Justin did a quick prep right before the ceremony at the First Christian Church in downtown Fort Worth. Soon after, Molly’s dad walked his daughter down the isle and gave her away. This moment began to be tough for me when I became a dad. When I took a second look at the shot of Molly looking back at her dad, my eyes got watery. Must of been all that dust flying around in the church.
After a few portraits we headed to the Bass Performance Hall McDavid Studio to party down. The place looked amazing with white hydrangeas and white roses for the center pieces. The warm glow of the candle lights added the perfect warm ambient color to the room. The cake was cut, speeches were recited, and people danced. The whole time all I could think about was the taco truck Molly & Justin got for their guest. By the end of the night we were a little bummed because it had not arrived yet and we were packed and ready to go. As we walked out the hall my taco radar went off and there is was to my left. Ummm tacos!! Yes, I was the first in line and I am not ashamed to admit it.
